Today Trapster version 1.6 was released for all you Android users! Make sure you update your android so you can check out the latest new feature, Patrol.
Patrol
Once you update Trapster on your Android, you will notice some blue lines displayed over the roads. These blue lines tell you that other Trapster users have recently traveled these streets, and “patrolled” the area for traps.
Trapster is based on user’s entering the location of police speed traps, red light and speed cameras, and other hazards, but sometimes you wonder… has someone already scoped out this street? What if no one has been this way recently, and has not reported any traps? Patrol is the solution. Blue paths will be displayed over the streets on the trapmap, assuring you that the road ahead has been “patrolled” by fellow Trapster users.
To access the Patrol feature select “More” from the main menu.
What else is new?
You will also notice a new welcome screen when you launch Trapster. From the welcome screen you can choose “Getting Started” to view a quick example of how Traptster works. We have also added the buttons for connecting with your Facebook and Twitter friends, which will be added to the app soon.
Pesky bugs! 1.6 has the following bug fixes:
Network Location Fixed. More | Quit now properly exits, even if you have it set to run in the background. Traps Report in the exact spot reported. Nearby Traps works as intended. Previous Location is cached correctly. Speed and responsiveness improved.
