iPhone users will notice a new hazard appearing on the trapmap, the school zone hazard. Trapster recently added road hazards to the list of reportable “traps” within the application. Though “Children at Play” was already a hazard type, we wanted to add “School Zones” to keep drivers aware of speed limit changes that come along with school zones.
School Zone
Trapster’s definition of a school zone: Areas surrounding a school campus, where children are likely to be present.
Be sure not to confuse this with the children at play hazard, If you see children at play at such places as parks, playgrounds, and cul-de-sacs, make sure to mark it on the trapmap using our Children at Play hazard.
We are working on adding road hazards to all of Trapster’s supported platforms, so if you do not have an iPhone, hang in there, we will get hazards to you soon. In the mean time, you can report school zones on the trapster.com’s trapmap.
Please let us know if you have any suggestions for new hazards, you can post up your suggestions on our support forum.
