Summer holiday travel is upon us with Memorial Day just around the corner. We have lots of things to look forward to; lower gas prices, summer sun, traffic, and oh yes, increased police enforcement on the roads. Experts here in SoCal are estimating an increase of at least 7.8% in holiday road travelers. And folks, that’s a lot of people on the roads!
I don’t know anyone who’s looking to get stuck in timely traffic jams or walk away with a speeding ticket this holiday weekend. So our advise, don’t forget to turn on Trapster. With almost 6 million users world-wide you can’t go wrong. Here’s how Trapster can help you this holiday travel season:
Red, Yellow, or Green
Traffic. We all hate it and we all want to avoid it. Trapster can help! Use Trapster’s traffic overlay to plan your trip or re-route a current one to help you avoid those heavy traffic areas. Because being stuck in holiday traffic and missing out on the fun is… no fun!

Sharing is Caring
Let’s say your driving along and see an enforcement point such as a live police or checkpoint. If Trapster didn’t alert you then make sure to help out the users behind you and report it. Hopefully they’ll be out there doing the same next time around.

Feeling Blue
I don’t mean blue like sad. I mean blue like patrol! The patrol feature, available on iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry, shows a blue line over the roads Trapster users have recently traveled. Giving you a little extra insurance that the road ahead has been “patrolled” by fellow Trapster users.
Point A to Point B
Lost? Or just need directions. Trapster does that too! Use our route feature to get directions from point A to B. Not sure where a place is located? Use our local search and then get directions from your current location. So simple it’s easy.
Trip Log
Let grandma follow along! Using Trapster’s “My Trips” feature you can log your adventure and share it with family and friends. From Twitter, Facebook, to even Trapster.com, Trapster makes it easy for everyone to see where your are. It’s an awesome feature that lets you stop or pause your trip, insert trip points – “2AM Micky-D’s Run”, and even add crazy pictures along the way to keep everyone in the loop.
Checkpoints
During the holidays checkpoints are much more frequent. So make sure to check Trapster *recent trap list or the map itself for the most up to date trap information. Especially if you’re running late somewhere as checkpoints can cause serious delays and lots of traffic.
