Would it be possible to have an option added to prevent the app from running in the background?

Yes,it's very annoying that trapster works in the background,it drains off your battery very fast.

    Hey Trapsterer's!
Top app, I've got several friends onto it but that aside.. The new release chews up batteries like no ones business! I left it on on a 30km drive down the highway the day the new OS came out & I'd gone from 100% batteries to 17% in under half an hour? What on earth's causing the app to use the batteries so fast?

I think you may have wrecked trapster. I use it on a Blackberry and an iPhone. Since the update i actually have to turn it off because i need my phone to work for more than 30 mins until I have to recharge it again. So in short… nice update but i recommend the person who worked on this one be dismissed.

Come now ppl, yes it's chewing batteries like a son of a gun but it happened AFTER the Update from Apple, I hardly think the team at trapster are 'wholly' responsible for this;) However Team Trapster, I just wanna say, I love you guys n can you haul ass n fix this please, I got pinged by a cam yesterday;(…

Wish just SOME of these new interfaces and features can make it to the Windows Mobile version. The Windows Mobile version is falling into disrepair and uselessness, with a much less friendly UI and lacking features the IPhone has.

Just curious… If Trapster is running in the background, does it still chew up data allowance or does is know not to download maps? Also, does the program alert you to traps when running in the background and if so, how?

I can't use it on my phone for the next few days because, well, I'm out of fuel so can't drive anywhere. I'm curious how it works though.

Anyone else having trouble loading trapster after the update? Mine loads then shut off

  • Bianchi Boy

I have stopped using trapster after the update as kills the battery even when you think it is turned off, the only way I have found to turn it off completely is to shut down the phone and restart which is a pain, the app needs an option to quit completely or run in the background when you close it

Be sure to update to the latest version, and make sure you are not running trapster in the background, when you are not driving.

    Thanks,

    Sean

You can adjust your settings so that Trapster will not run in the background. Tap the settings icon (gears) on the right, then scroll down to “Background Activity” slide “Background Alerting” to “OFF”

    Thanks,
