3.0.1 iPhone Update: Push Notification and More

The wait is over! Today iTunes posted Trapster’s 3.0.1 update. We’re bouncing with excitement here at Trapster because of all the new features you’re sure to love. The update not only includes Push Notification, but also added was an easier rating systems and a page that shows the recently reported traps in your area.

Trapster Named Time.com Top 10 App

In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve been crazy busy these past few months. We’ve updated our iPhone app to support Facebook and Twitter integration, submitted an update to support the new iPhone 3.0 OS, released an Android app, and are now apart of the BlackBerry App World (here’s a guide to that app) and Nokia Ovi stores.

Trapster for iPhone 3.0: Experience the Difference

On Monday, June 8th at the World Wide Developer Conference, Apple announced its release of the iPhone OS 3.0. From leaked media to insider information, the announcement didn’t come as that big of a surprise. However, the excitement is still hard to contain.

Not only did Apple announce the new 3.0 OS, but they also revealed the new iPhone 3G S phone. The best part is that we don’t have to wait in suspense all summer for them. The iPhone OS 3.0 will be available for download this Wednesday, June 17th. While the new iPhone 3G S will ship and be available for purchase at the Apple stores on Friday, June19th.

Teaser: Trapster for iPhone 3.0

If you’re following us on Twitter then you know that we’ve been sharing screenshots from our soon to be released iPhone app for the new 3.0 software (check out Gizmodo’s guide to get up to speed on the new software). Of course, we’re keeping all the great features of the iPhone 2.4 release, like Facebook and Twitter integration, but we’re tacking on a few extra goodies.

We’re pretty excited about the new release, which you should see made available on the date the new software launches (June 17th). So to prepare for the news next week, we thought we’d share a few more screenshots and hint at some of the cool updates to come. How-To Customize Trapster’s Display on Your iPhone

Have you ever bought a new cell phone, pulled it out of the box along with the charger, and tossed everything else aside not even thinking of the papers and booklets that are tucked within that shiny neat packaging? I can honestly say I have never once opened a cell phone user guide. My philosophy has always been to just figure it out as I go. It’s more of a subconscious decision I must of made with myself years ago that just stuck.

Therefore, I’m always shocked when I learn something new about my cell or come across a new feature. I will admit, sometimes I feel like an idiot when I make that big “OOOOOOOH” noise as I realize I could of made my life ten times easier or saved myself a gang of time.

Which was the root of the problem to begin with… time. Finding the time to sit down and read a cell phone user guide. Let alone building enough motivation to even think about doing it.
